The Toronto Children’s Therapy Center is not specifically endorsing any company, vendor, or therapist. We do not benefit from listing a company on our website as listings are free to the service provider. The information is made available simply to help our families navigate alternate services in our local community. It is up to the parent to research and determine whether the available services are appropriate for their child.
Lisa is a Child and Family Therapist who completed her Masters of Social Work at the University of Toronto in 2013. She has extensive training and experience working with children and families experiencing challenges related to anxiety, learning disabilities, ADHD, behavioural issues, transitions, family conflict, mood disorders, trauma, and grief. Lisa has a passion for working with parents to help them to better understand their children’s emotional needs and how to implement new strategies and ways of being with their children so that children can express feelings in healthier ways. Further, in working with the family system, she provides the opportunity for family members to share their feelings and perspectives, listen to one another and learn how to communicate and support one another in more helpful and effective ways. Lisa has training in Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Brief and Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Attachment-Focused Therapies.
